服装Revue

1. Acquire life skills by participating in experiences that help develop:

   • Skills to plan and select clothing for different occasions
   • Skills to select appropriate accessories
2. Select and purchase or recycle a garment that can be used effectively in the wardrobe
3. Evaluate clothing to determine its value in their wardrobe and budget
4. Develop poise, good posture and grooming habits through modeling experience
5. Share with others the knowledge and skills they learned

Purchase or recycle a major clothing item that relates to a wardrobe plan. Select an item appropriate for modeling in a public revue. The following are suggested types of garments appropriate for 4-H Consumer 服装Revue:

• 学校的服装:舒适的衣服, functional and appropriate for local school situations (formal and semi-formal attire is not included)
• 观众和运动服装: Clothes that are suitable for contact and/or spectator participation in outdoor and/or indoor sporting events (swimwear is not appropriate)
• 街的服装: Clothes that are appropriate to wear on the job, for travel or to church
• 文化和民族遗产: Clothes that are related to the cultural or ethnic heritage of the participant or a culture or ethnic background the participant is studying.
• Formal and semi-formal dress or suit: Clothes that are suitable for the prom, weddings and special parties

Prepare purchased or recycled garments for wear by clipping threads, securing buttons, hemming, etc.，必要时. In some cases, minor alterations may be necessary.

Bring purchased or recycled garment and accessories to the event. 包括完成 4-H Consumer 服装Revue Fact Sheet (CB507 or CB508), which includes color photo(s) of the outfit.

2. Build self-confidence 和风度 by developing:
   • An understanding of “self” so the individual may select and make clothing that is becoming and expressive for his or her personality.
   • 计划所需的技能, select and construct clothing for different occasions.
   • An ability to select suitable accessories.
   • Knowledge of and skill in the use of a decision-making process.
3. Make and model a garment that is needed in the wardrobe.
4. Develop poise, good posture and grooming habits.
5. Share knowledge and skill learned through 4-H Constructed 服装Revue participation with others.

13岁以下的部门
Construct half or more of clothing being modeled. For example: a simple shirt, blouse, shorts, pants, skirt, jumper or dress. Items such as a scarf or apron are not acceptable. 服装模型必须是一个 project related to clothing and textiles.

Construct the major part of clothing being modeled. For example: a dress, shirt/blouse and pants, shirt/pants and vest (shirt/blouse could be purchased). 制作的衣物必须符合 made as part of a clothing and textiles-related project in which the member is enrolled. 制作的衣物必须符合

The following are suggestions for types of garments that are appropriate for county and state events:

Select suitable and complementary accessories.

Bring the constructed garment, pattern guide and accessories to the event. Judging will include the fit  and appearance of the outfit on the model, 学科知识, 服装的构造, 和风度, posture and grooming within the abilities of the 4-H’er.

Bring clothing items and accessories to the event. 包括完成 缝纫和展示 Narration Sheet which includes color photo(s) of the outfit and fabric swatches.

   • 计划所需的技能, select and decorate clothing for different occasions while remaining aware of garment care and cost effectiveness.
   • Knowledge of and skill in the use of a decision-making process.
3. Decorate and model a garment that reflects creativity and a sense of individual style.
4. Develop poise, good posture and grooming habits.
5. Share knowledge and skills learned through 服装Revue participation with others.

Decorate a garment and/or accessory in a way that it reflects individual style. This can be an item already in the wardrobe, or constructed or purchased for this specific use. The decoration process, workmanship and quality of the finished
项目将被评估, not the original 服装的构造/accessory independently from the project. The interview and 4-H’er’s knowledge of the decoration process also are key components of the final score. The clothing decorated must be appropriate for modeling in a public revue.

Select suitable and complementary accessories.

Bring the decorated garment/accessory and completed fact sheet to the event.

Judging will include the appearance of the decorated item on the 4-H’er, knowledge of the project and subject area, 修饰过程, 和风度, posture and grooming within the 4-H’er’s abilities.
